Pump and Abrasion Technologies (PABT), a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of heavy-duty slurry pumps, is seeking Mechanical Engineering graduates to join its Technical Sales department. This permanent role offers exposure to both office-based and client-site work, with travel typically spanning 3–4 days at a time. The position provides an opportunity to apply engineering knowledge in a fast-paced environment, supporting sales representatives with technical expertise, developing pump system solutions, and engaging directly with clients. Graduates will gain valuable experience in system analysis, technical consulting, and proposal development while contributing to the growth of a dynamic and expanding company.

Responsibilities

• Assist in selecting and specifying pumps to meet customer needs
• Compile technical reports and proposals
• Guide customers on a technical basis to the appropriate product
• Provide first-line technical support and consulting for pump applications
• Offer on-site assistance with product installation
• Conduct system analysis and fault finding on-site, compiling reports with solutions and root cause analysis
• Support sales representatives in presenting proposed solutions to clients
• Ensure customer support quality assurance standards are consistently met or exceeded

Qualifications

• B
• Eng or BSc
• Eng degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering
• 0–2 years of working experience
• Strong mechanical and/or process engineering ability
• Attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent computer skills, particularly MS Word and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Energetic, driven, and self-motivated with the ability to take ownership
• Pump-related experience will be advantageous
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to live out 3–4 days of the week
